About the Fancy Text Generator
Type a word, a name or a whole caption and see it in more than twenty styles at once: bold, italic, cursive script, gothic, bubble letters, small caps, upside down, strikethrough and more. Tap Copy next to the style you like and paste it into an Instagram bio, a TikTok caption, a WhatsApp status, a tweet or a game nickname.
Nothing is a font file or an image. Each styled letter is a real Unicode character, which is why it keeps its look when you paste it into apps that don't let you change the font.
How it works
Unicode, the standard every phone and computer uses for text, includes whole alphabets that were added for mathematics: bold, italic, script, Fraktur (gothic), double-struck, sans-serif and monospace versions of A to Z, and for some of them the digits 0 to 9. The generator swaps each plain letter for the matching character in the style you pick.
A few of those alphabets have gaps. Letters such as the script B, the gothic C and the double-struck R were already in Unicode before the mathematical alphabets were added, so their slots were left empty and the older characters are used instead. Generators that ignore this print empty boxes in words like 'Boring' or 'CHRIS'; this one uses the right characters, checked against the official name of every character.
Bubble, squared and wide letters come from other parts of Unicode. Small caps and tiny text use phonetic letters, and upside-down text flips each letter and reverses the line. Strikethrough and underline add a combining mark after each character.
Assumptions and limits
- Only the English letters AโZ, aโz and the digits 0โ9 change. Urdu, Arabic, accented letters and emoji are left as they are.
- Black bubble and squared styles exist only as capitals, so small letters use capitals there. No small-capital X or superscript q exists in Unicode, so those letters stay plain.
- How a style looks depends on the fonts on the reader's phone; very old devices may show a box for rare characters such as small-capital q.
Worked examples
An Instagram bio
Type your name, copy the Bold script line and paste it into the Name field of your profile; the rest of your bio can stay in plain text.
A game nickname
Gothic and Wide styles are popular for gamer tags. Check the game's name rules first, as some games only accept plain letters.
Crossed-out prices
Strikethrough turns 'Rs 2,500' into a crossed-out price you can put next to a sale price in a WhatsApp message or a post.
How to use the Fancy Text Generator
- Type your text. Write or paste it in the box at the top.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get fancy fonts on Instagram?
Type your text here, copy the style you like and paste it into your Instagram bio, name, caption or comment. Instagram can't change fonts itself, but it shows these Unicode letters exactly as you paste them.
Why do some letters show as boxes?
A box means the reader's device has no font containing that character. Bold, italic and script letters work on almost every modern phone; rarer ones like small-capital q may not appear on older Android versions.
Is fancy text bad for accessibility?
It can be. Screen readers may spell the letters out one by one, read them as maths symbols, or skip them. Use styled text for a word or two of decoration and keep the important information in plain letters.
Can I use fancy text in my WhatsApp or Facebook name?
Usually yes, because both accept Unicode. Some platforms block certain symbols in names to stop impersonation, so if a style is rejected, try Bold or Small caps, which are accepted more often.
Will search engines read fancy text?
Not reliably. Search engines and in-app search treat these as different characters from normal letters, so a bio written entirely in script may not appear when people search your name. Keep key words in plain text.
